Where I was

After a couple of years working in Chicago, I returned to the UK and started up my own recruitment consultancy which specialized in recruitment 2 recruitment market. After a very successful couple of years, I felt that something was missing from my day to day working life. After much deliberation I decided that I need to be part of something bigger where I would be rewarded well for my hard work. After a short period of time I was offered a position with Partners Group, the opportunity was simply too good to let it pass me by.

Where I am now

The last 6 months have been a blur. I have been totally amazed by the way in which my hard work and success has been rewarded and how quickly my career has progressed. I now have a well established desk, having developed a new market, and have a team of 3 consultants, I have complete autonomy to grow the business and develop my team, while still having all the resource and support of a larger company. The advice and guidance that I have been given since starting has been amazing, enough to point me in the right direction, but not so much that made me feel micro managed. I love the environment I work within, it, and the people I work with have a hugely dynamic and visionary approach to recruitment.

It was a difficult decision to give up my own business to join Partners Group, but looking back it was the best thing I have ever done. I now have received the best training and development, be apart of some of the best incentives I have experienced, and lets not forget I am now earning more money that I though possible.
